Can't Hold Her Down!
According to Nielson SoundScan, Britney Spears's new LP Circus has landed in the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, with over 500,000 units sold. She also currently still holds the top album spot and the top song spot with "Circus" on iTunes. Congrats to Ms. Spears on Circus going gold in the first week and for the continued steady digital downloads and sales of the album.

Balmain A new trend has been reported on the runways for the upcoming seasons of Spring/Summer 2009. The new trend has notes from Ancient Egyptian style, as its channeling Nefertiti and King Tut of Egypt. The Nefertiti hair do is so avant-garde, the breast metal chain dress by Benjamin Cho reminds me of Egyptian Warriors, and the Balmain design is very King Tut-esq.
I for one, am a major fan of the major heavy detail construction of the garments. It creates an edgy and empowering aura about the design. The trend is really interesting because it takes us on a trip discovering new ideas for personal style, perhaps an exodus for some.

Mr. Marc Jacobs has introduced his new muse in the new ad for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009, and who better to choose for the position than, the Material Girl herself, Madonna. Madonna was previously the muse for fashion house Versace. The photos are slightly dark, but are reminiscent of the Wild Wild West days of the women in saloons. In another view, the pics kinda depict an old tavern located in France. I think the pics are hott, but the shoes are what i'm dying over!

On a previous post we showed Cyber Punk Fashion for women. The trend is now welcoming men into the style fix! Cyber Punk for men is very cutting edge, but I warn you, DO NOT GO OUT LOOKING LIKE A TIN MAN OR THE GUY FROM STAR TREK!! When wearing the metallic shoes, wear dark jeans such as black or a deep indigo blue jean and pair it with a jewel tone top. Metallic/Gunmetal looks best when paired with a jewel tone (Sapphire, Turquoise, Emerald, Amethyst)

Crave of the Moment: Get The Boot!
Fall/Winter 08/09 for men's footwear is all about updating your shoe/boot collection with new innovative and recreated boot styles. Innovation and renovation in boot fashion has traditionally mainly occurred in women's footwear but that is no longer the case. There is a wide array of different boot styles available for men, including snow boots, mountain boots, hiking & woods boots, biker boots, military boots, and the hybrid sneaker boot.
Snow and hiking boots (pictured above) provide a sense of ruggedness while maintaining it's purpose of warmth. They look best when paired with shearling outerwear, leather/faux leather and sweaters.
Sneaker boots (pictured above) are of course a cross breed between sneakers and boots. They allow wearers to enjoy the comfort and trendiness of a sneaker, but also provides the protection and warmth of a boot. They also are very versatile and can be paired with almost anything.
Mountain boots (pictured above) have been reintroduced to the fashion industry this fall, but this time they are more fashion forward and are actually aesthetically pleasing. These edgy boots, are no longer geared towards utility use, but for fashion statements instead. They look best when paired with skinny/slim jeans, tees, sweaters, and leather/faux leather outerwear.

Keri Hilson: Turnin Me On
I have been anxiously anticipating Keri Hilson's third single "Turnin' Me On" hard! Well, the video just dropped and it is hott! (literally hott) The dance routines are straight ATL Dirty South Style. Keri looks fab in the video, and peep her little sis making a cameo in the video as well. I know this song will help leverage Keri's success even more than what she already has, because she is ULTRA TALENTED!

Rihanna Rehab Video Debut!
As promised, Crave Collision has featured Rihanna's hot new video for her infectious song "Rehab." The video premiered today via MTV, and I must say Rihanna shot one amazing video! The filmography is excellent, the concept is nailed 100%. "Disturbia" was the single prior to "Rehab" and that was an excellent video as well. The desert scenes of her on the car with Justin Timberlake reminds me of Victoria and David Beckham's magazine shoot for W Magazine.
