In the day and age of few successful female groups in the US, Electrik Red has emerged. The quartet, who have all collectively served as backup dancers/video girls for Ciara, Akon, Ludacris, and Chris Brown, are finally getting their chance to shine, with the help of The-Dream and mega-producer Tricky Stewart. The aggressive club throbbing first single "Drink in My Cup" unapolgetically introduces the girls to the world as strong independent sex kittens, who aren't afraid to be "that girl." Love the song, but they remind me of PCD just a little. Have to wait and see if they will be one hit wonders though. Video girls turned singers/rappers. Gotta luv it.
